Over the last fifteen years, the profession of garden design has enjoyed something of a renaissance. Not since the days of 'Capability' Brown and the English Landscape Movement has the art of garden design been so much in demand.

Today an ever-increasing number of land and home-owners are appreciating the benefits derived from commissioning the expertise of trained garden designers.

An attractive, stimulating and well-planned garden not only increases the value and saleability of a property but also ensures that it is both practical and functional, providing all the family's needs or serving as an additional "room" or series of "rooms" within the site.

The courses are all taught at Plumpton College (unless otherwise stated) which is situated in the centre of its own 567 hectare estate which has a commercial farm, horticultural and equine units and a vineyard, all of which are used extensively by students.

As the College is situated in a rural location, students are advised to travel by car. There are ample parking facilities available. Lewes is the most convenient railway station and there is a bus service from the railway station to Plumpton. A timetable should be consulted for exact times.

The Resources Centre (library with computers) has a range of horticultural books, magazines, etc. relating to all gardening topics. There is free access to the Internet and use of a computer for any necessary written work.
