About this Course
Continuing the design of your garden with drawing up your plans and getting to grips with colouring it in and combining this with visits to various local gardens.
Putting the final touches to your planting plans and finding out where to source these plants and visiting local nurseries including Hilliers.
All admissions are included in the price of the course and where possible the owner or head gardener will take us round.
You will be encouraged to take notes and perhaps do some simple sketches to help remind you of your visit and what it was that inspired you.
Visits will usually start with a coffee and a chance to talk through what we are about to see and what we have seen from the previous visit.
However you look at it, it’s informative and good fun.
Garden visiting is an important and enjoyable part of understanding how a garden has been created.
Trying to imagine what was there before the garden was created, can help in understanding just how imaginative or not the owner has been.
Looking at how the garden owner has overcome the different levels within the garden can also give you ideas, perhaps for your own garden.
